Rowantree Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the surrounding areas of West Argyll, The Cowal Peninsula, The Trossachs and most famous of all Loch Lomond. Glasgow with its museums and cafe culture in the Merchant City, is an hour away as is Stirling with its castle and the memorial to the braveheart himself, William Wallace.
